Check out this video from one of education’s leading thinkers Alan November. Here, he talks about the future of education, specifically about the need for a shift of control in our classrooms from the teacher disseminating information to his students TO our students contributing ideas and sharing them with each other. Further, we need to THINK GLOBALLY and use technology to have “authentic conversations” with those in other parts of the world. We need to engage kids socially across the world. Our schools need to value this kind of thinking if our youth is to become successful, lifelong learners.
